We’ve been sworn to secrecy for the past several months, but now it’s official! George Thorogood and the Destroyers recorded at Elephonic Studios in September and now the official release of the recordings has been announced…and guess what…it’s on Vinyl!
If you love the Destroyers, you’ll want to mark April 21st, Record Store Day on your calendar. George Thorogood and the Destroyers are releasing a limited-edition 7” single for Record Store Day featuring two new recordings, recorded with engineer Jesse Korman at Elephonic Recording Studios in Albuquerque, with the legendary Grammy-winning producer Jim Gaines doing the mixing. The A-side features a cover of “Shot Down,” originally recorded by legendary garage rockers The Sonics, backed with “Ain’t Coming Home Tonight,” an original penned by longtime Destroyers guitarist Jim Suhler and legendary producer Terry Manning (Al Green, Joe Walsh, Widespread Panic).
